Dear Viriditas Community,

May the Force be with us!

Life’s journey can bring surprises. I know I’ve had a few in the last couple weeks! Sometimes, I have to search to find the treasure that may be hidden inside of a surprise that is rather challenging.

How do you find your power and strength in challenging times?  Looking for guidance in how to do this?  Check out my blog post this week on Finding Your Strength in Challenging Times.

Doctor of the Soul Events for 2018

I want to update you that the Doctor of Soul is taking a break from regularly scheduled gatherings for a few months.  I’m going to take some time to visit my mother in Switzerland. She has had five surgeries this past year and needs some tender loving care. I will also be supporting my adult daughter as she has sinus surgery in August.

I’ll still offer private sessions while I am in town.  If you would like to schedule a private session, just call or email me. (720 308 6782  or jeanninegoodeallen@gmail.com)

Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concerts presented by the Boulder Chorale
Don’t miss this one!Duke Ellington considered his three “Sacred Concerts” from the mid-1960s “the most important thing I have ever done.” While not trying to compose a mass, the concerts have been referred to as Ellington’s attempt to bring the Cotton Club to the church.

On May 19th and 20th the Boulder Chorale will bring their 110 voices, vocalist Joslyn Ford-Keel, tap dancer Dr. David Sharp !!!, and a jazz sextet to their end-of-the-season celebration of one of America’s greatest composers.

How to Bring Life to Your Chakras: 7 Healing Mantras

My guidebook, How to Bring Life to Your Chakras: 7 Healing Mantras, is almost ready for purchase!

You can experience two of the mantras from the guidebook in the Chanting Wisdom class that David and I will teach this summer at the FICS, the week of July 23rd.  In the class, we will learn the chants for Ganesh and Durga. These chants will help you gain strength to face any challenge you might be having.

And for those of you wanting to expand your chanting, we also will be learning the Gayatri mantra. This mantra is a highly revered mantra from the Rig Veda, dedicated to Savitr, the Sun deity. Chanting this mantra helps us embrace God, the basis of all life.

It will be a great week in July!

Learn more about the important work of FICS at www.foxinstitute-cs.org.

All right, I am off! It is time to pack up the car with those treasures from the St. Hildegard Traveling Exhibit that I will need today for my Hildegard class at the Fox Institute. I look forward to telling you all about it next week!

In Viriditas,
Jeannine
