Dear Viriditas Community,
All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
You guessed it, the theme for our February Tap Into Transformation was LOVE! Here is a photo of our tap dancers at the end of the evening. Take a good look and feel the love!
Our February Tap Into Transformation was also a tribute to Michael Jackson. It was by far the most elaborate dance David has created for our group, and I so enjoyed this dance. We all felt in part like Michael Jackson by the end of the evening! Click here to watch the promo video David and I created and try some of the moves for yourself!
At the beginning of the evening, I invited folks to connect with the love in their hearts and then to listen to the following lyrics of Michael Jackson’s song, “Man In The Mirror”
I’m starting with the man in the mirror
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change.
I then asked them to dance with this question in their hearts: “If you were to change one thing about yourself, what would it be?” After dinner, we watched and sang along with a clip of the movie “This Is It” where Michael Jackson sings “Man In The Mirror” to inspire us. I am always moved by the power of LOVE.
On the tap front I want to also mention that things are falling into place for David and me as we look forward to our workshop, Tap Into Power For Life on March 21 & 22nd. As you may know David and I launched this workshop last year and tested it with two other people, Herb Rodriguez and Jan Rupp.
Here is what Jan and Herb said about the weekend:
“David and Jeannine, with incredible passion and talent, challenge us to transform our pain into power, moving through our blockages and trauma with grace and beauty.” – Jan Rupp, Co-author of “The 5-Minute Healer”
“David and Jeannine are very loving and accepting. With their encouragement, it allowed me to not only have a hell of a lot of fun, but also feel free to release inhibitions and safe to explore deeper parts of myself.” – Herb Rodriguez, Musician/Artist – Member of The Boulder Chorale
Jan, Herb, David and I spent the weekend together; each of us bringing a challenge in our lives that we wanted to transform. I brought a feeling of “stuckness” in a piano composition I was writing. As we expressed this feeling of stuckness in the group in our tap shoes, with the help of ukuleles (thanks Herb!) we transformed the feeling of stuckness as a group. The final moment was when Jan Rupp gonged on my Tibetan singing bowl as the Elephant. I could feel the shift inside me. Now, a year later I have a recording of the completed composition as well as the sheet music. I invite you to join us next month and see what can happen for you in a caring and tapping community. (Click here to find out more about this workshop.)
You can look forward to hearing my composition as the background music for one of the meditations I am creating this year inspired by the theological works of St. Hildegard of Bingen. I have now recorded three meditations and a community has formed to journey together this year with the meditations. Click here to listen to the first audio recording. As previously mentioned, you may find the texts of the meditations on my blog. (Click here to view the blog.) If you’d like to receive a weekly audio recording please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I rejoice as I receive the gifts of doing these meditations myself. So far, I have accessed deep gratitude as well as some clear guidance regarding next steps to take in my life. I invite you to contact me and join the community of people experiencing these meditations together. St. Hildegard has so many gifts to give us! The cost for the yearly meditation series is $120.00, and you will receive a weekly email with the meditation text as well as an audio recording. You can send a check made out to Viriditas Productions LLC to the following address: 800 Zamia Ave. Boulder, CO 80304.

In this month of Love, I will conclude with these loving words by St. Hildegard of Bingen.
in intimate love,
to the Creator
as if to a lover.
for a pasture,
Out of the Creator’s fullness,
this request is granted to creation.
