Tap Into Transformation, September

Once a month…come to a new kind of gathering.

Tap Into Transformation

At the Viriditas Studio

4939 N. Broadway, Unit 65, Boulder, CO 80304

September 6, 2013    7:00 – 9:00 pm

Leaving the hot summer and our August event theme of tapping the energies of the Sun we’ll move into our September gathering by tapping into a softer, cooler version of the Sun as we approach the fall equinox season.  This Sun energy is the innocent, joyful, playful, creative energy of childhood.

As you connect to your innocent and creative energy of childhood how does your body want to move?  Is there a melody you hear?  If you were to tap into that feeling what would you do?  How would you create?

Come and join husband and wife duo Dr. Jeannine Goode-Allen and Dr. David Sharp in an evening of transformational song, poetry and tap dancing in our gorgeous and inspiring Viriditas Studio in North Boulder.  You will laugh, smile and stomp your feet while feeling the joy of moving your body and opening your heart to awe, wonder, beauty, gratitude and more.

Our world so needs each of us to step out onto the stage of life and make manifest our great potential. Experience us as we pave the way to do this by exhibiting the power of Divinity In Action through our spectacular and fun gifts.

Introduction to a six part series on the eyes.

This is the beginning of a six part series on the eyes by St. Hildegard referenced from Hildegard of Bingen’s Medicine by Dr. Wighard Strehlow & Gottfried Hertzka, M.D. This introduction will be followed weekly by an exploration each of the five types (colors) of eyes.

Introduction to Eyes: The Windows to the Soul.

As St. Hildegard writes, “Powerful is the expression of the soul in the eyes of this person, when the eyes are clear and shining, because the soul is energetically living in the body so it can accomplish many works within.  For the eyes of a person are the windows to the soul.” (*CC 220, 6)

Bright eyes are signs of life.  If someone is physically healthy, he or she has clear and sparkling eyes. Dull eyes are signs of death!

“Whoever, on the other hand, does not have shining eyes, no matter what color, even though the person is healthy, bears the sign of death.  Also, when the eyes are dim like a cloud which is so dense on the surface that behind it the transparent cloud cannot be seen, then such a person will become sick soon and death will follow. In the look of the eyes of a person like that the soul, namely, is not powerful, because it will hardly create anything there and in a manner of speaking sits there covered by clouds, like a man who is considering and is in doubt when he should leave his home and go out of his house.” (*CC 220, 11)

Hildegard describes five types of eyes according to their color: blue-grey eyes, fiery eyes, eyes of diverse colors, turbulent eyes, and black eyes.

Blue-grey eyes: Blue, grey or a blend.
Fiery eyes: Have a ring around the iris and can be either blue or brown.
Eyes of diverse colors: Color mixed from blue or grey – spotted eyes, eyes with diverse color in them.
Turbulent eyes: Green and rare.
Black eyes: Black or brown eyes as we would call them.

What type or color eyes do you have?  (Look in a mirror to see.  If you can’t decide ask a friend to help.)

Next week’s post will discuss blue-grey eyes, their ailments and remedies.

Viriditas Newsletter, August

We did it!  We took Feathers On The Breath of God on the road!  On Sunday, July 14th we loaded up a trailer, a U-Haul and two cars and drove to the Bas Bleu Theater in Fort Collins, CO.  We spent three days building the tap floor, setting up the three screens, five periaktoi, all the lighting effects and even squeezed in a few rehearsals.

Feathers On The Breath of God is a lot of work and yet it is so worth it because people are so deeply touched and lives are changed by this work.  Every single member of the cast and crew was very sad when the week was over.  The feedback we got from the audience was full of praise, excitement and wonder.  Here is one testimonial:

Dear Ones,

I want to thank you for your amazing art while I am still close enough to the show to be specific. It was all wonderful, and here is what, specifically, uplifted me:

Jeannine’s application of Hildegard’s insights to the gritty, painful, specifics of your own private challenges and your invitation to us to do the same. Depicting motherhood and birthing as ART was so good for the moms in the room. (I am starting on the third draft of my novel; maybe its spirit will win through to a birth this time.)

The beauty of Jeannine’s visual art work in each set piece/painting (especially your own angel, yellow haired Joy) and your invitation to us to follow Hildegard’s example of allowing images to move through us and speak.

Jeannine’s confession of the “dark tunnel” experience – the pain/paranoia that afflicts us all as we groan in the travail of our personal/collective evolution.

Jeannine dancing with David as a dancing guardian angel. I can’t tell you how moved I was, not only by the protective masculine dancing with the flowing nurturant feminine on stage – but how aware it made me of the love of both my own angel and my own dear husband. I too am a woman loved every day by a powerful, providing, protecting masculine being. What a blessing!!!!!!!!!!!

All the dancing and music were lovely!

David’s jazz improv with piano was a wonderful addition of the masculine working with all the holy energy let loose on stage in his own way.

I also loved, as the show progressed, how you became more and more of an ensemble. You could feel how Jeannine’s channeling of Hildegard has flowed outward into the ensemble and, then, into the audience. What began as a painful, personal journey, has become a transformed person in a transformational community.

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! May God richly bless you and your marriage as well.

Love you.

Thanks to all of you who attended.  For those of you who could not but would like a copy of the DVD please let us know.

Tap Into Transformation continues to flourish and as I Iook over the past few months I see we have enough regular participants that we are creating our own group dance to all sorts of glorious music like June’s Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire by Meatloaf, July’s Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley and finally August’s Habañera from the opera Carmen by Bizet.

We also began creating ritual as part of the event. In July we invited people to write down things they wanted to release from their lives on little pieces of paper. They symbolically  threw them into a blue “ocean” that night. David and I then took the pieces of paper to California. In a ritual we burned the papers turning them into ash which we then released into the Pacific Ocean.

We’ve now done ten months of Tap Into Transformation and every single time when the evening ends David and I look at each other and say, “It does NOT get any better than this!”
